Beatrice had a bull calf this afternoon. His name is Benedict. He was presented with one forleg retained. I had to gently push him back in and reach as far as my arm would go to locate the other front leg. There was very little room to maneuver as he is a very large calf. Fortunately I was able to bring the other leg forward and he was born with out injury. Beatrice delivered the placenta normally also so we hope there will not be any complications for her from the manipulation. The brown stain on Benedict is meconium which was expelled during birth.
