Enya
Enya had a good day last week when the last pictures were taken, but the next day she was was feeling worse and was not comfortable in the sling. The next day we felt that she did not want to have any more interventions, so we left her in peace all morning with a large pile of grass to eat. We then euthanized her so as not to prolong her suffering.
Enya had a special presence, very aware of what was going on around her and interested in people. She was always one to come up and greet you out in the pasture as you can see from these photographs. She was good friend to her peers and the younger ones and also to me. She would have been a great mother had she and her calf survived.
I am grateful for the time she was up by the house before she had her calf where we could watch her and where she could get lots of currying which she enjoyed so. It is sad that she could not have a long life here with us. I hope she is in a better place which she well earned.

Enya
Enya's rehabilitation has commenced with the arrival of the Munks Livestock Sling. Enya is standing intermittently on her front legs and is pushing good back leg to turn the sling around. She seems to be comfortable in the sling and is gaining her confidence back. The bandages are for pressure sores on her forelegs.
